The Best Place On Earth

Now that our family has become more settled into life here in New Zealand,

I have begun feeling more aware of…well, me.

This is not about being a busy mom or working too many hours. This is more personal and rooted in a history that has begun to repeat itself, a pattern that I’d like to see change course completely for myself, my daughters and for anyone who can relate. Many of the beliefs I’ve had about who I am have not been serving me well. In fact, the negative messages I’ve formed have been holding me back from reaching my dreams. Now. I’m out here seeking my truth.

As long as I can remember, I’ve been riding a roller-coaster of mixed messages in life, giving up on myself when the going gets tough. Just when I reach the heart of the matter, the point when the growth and change is beginning to happen, I get afraid and turn back. Lately, the doubt and fears associated with following my heart are subsiding, I am able to see clearly.

Until now, it seems I’ve been viewing myself through a hazy window while running full speed, barely catching a glimpse of who I am.

In this moment, it is as if I’ve simply opened that window to reveal clarity and a fresh perspective. For the first time, I truly believe that my passions, emotions and interests are valuable and important.

Through this awakening, of sorts, I have realized I want to celebrate and shout at the top of a mountain with joy. I want to inspire others to find their mountain-top too.

I will provide stories and thoughts from my daily experience and most importantly, provide a place for YOU to share your story and read those of others I’ve encountered along my way. I’d love this to be a place of honesty and a positive circle of encouragement for breaking-free of negative messages and rewriting your story to that of strength and resiliency.

PhotoDreamTrip originated through my absolute determination to set-aside my old and outdated habits and live my dream life.

I have found that it doesn’t matter what stunning location you find yourself in, if you aren’t loving you and living a life true to yourself, you’re certainly not experiencing your dream trip. My dream is to bring you photography, stories and positive messages that offer renewal and inspiration to be your favorite “you”.

The best and seemingly simplest discoveries that I’ve made since moving here are “you can be entirely who you are” and if you haven’t noticed already, my new living mantra is :

“Be your favorite you!”
